In
the throats dug by the Esino and Sentino rivers it was living the
prehistoric man but also the giants of the nature. Today at Mulino
della Niegola, in a wide tract of green, the dinosaurs have been
rebuilt in their habitat to natural bigness. The park which lodges
the dinosaurs has been equipped to develop play and refreshment near
the picnic area.
Climbing up the tortuous road to Revellone Mountain it is possible
to reach the ancient castle of the Revellone, seat of the House of
Gola della Rossa Park and of Frasassi, where the projections of
didactic filmed on the fauna of the Park are developed. In
Castelletta you can visit the archaeological museum full of finds
recoming in the paths of the park where are possible excursions and
activities in contact with the nature. At valley, near the famous
Frasassi’s Caves is situated the millenary Romanesque St.Vittore
delle Chiuse Abbey. In the Abbey’s cenoby has been recently prepared
the Speleological and Archaeological Museum where is kept precious
fossil of the Ichthyosaurus. In province of Macerata, Matelica’s
Ancient Roman Municipality closes the route with the visit of the
Archaeological Museum and the interesting didactic laboratories'
development. |
