TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum INFO: the workshop lasts an hour and half Thanks to this didactic workshop pupils will be able to realize their own sheet of watermarked paper, thanks to the ancient production technique handed down by Fabriano’s Master Paper Manifactures, which then will take home. Inside a laboratory machineries, completely like the ones used in the paper mill of Hand Paper Making Museum, were arranged. The proposal is turned to all the pupils of schools of every order and degree. The Master Paper Manufacturer who will drive them in this memorable experience, will show the young people every single paper manufacturing phase starting with the medley of cotton with which then the precious watermarked paper sheets will be realized. The following phases will be: realization of the sheet with the watermarker form; deposition of the sheet on the wool felts; separation of the sheet with the "technique of the pinch", pressing and drying. To the participants will be given an attendance certificate on a precious watermarked paper “Antichi Marchi” (“Ancient Brands”), on that watermarked paper are reproduced the anciest Fabriano’s signs (filigrees) recovered on paper sheets of XII century. 2 - THE TOWN OF THE PAPER OR THE PAPER TOWN? TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum Tridimensional rebuilding, using superior weight in grams paper sheets, of the main monuments of the town. The workshop is differentiated for pupils of elementary schools, junior secondary schools and senior secondary schools; is possible to attend a propaedeutical lesson on the subject. 3 - FABRIANO A TOWN’S PUZZLE TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum Bidimensional rebuilding (with cardboard) of the main monuments of the town, through the observation of the photographic images which reproduce them, recognizing and gathering the different architectural parts. The workshop is recommended for pupils of elementary schools. 4 - PLAYING WITH THE FORMS TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum Realization of geometrical decorative panels using modular forms made by straight or curved lines, registered on a square grid, which rhythmically repeat themselves according to a logic. The workshop is recommended for the secondary and senior secondary schools. 5 - WHAT CAN WE DO WITH A PAPER SHEET? TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum Realizing compositions with papers different from eachother between because of weight in grams or typology testing a new tactile kind of reading. Thinking of Alberto Burri’s works, for instance, we can go beyond the Bidimensional side of the paint realizing abstract collages with different paper materials. Drawing inspiration from Lucio Fontana, instead, we can practise some oblique cuts or hole the sheet with a drift. The workshop is differentiated for the pupils of the elementary, junior secondary and senior secondary schools; on request is possible to attend a propaedeutical lesson about theexaminated contemporary artists. 6 - THE ANCIENT TECHNIQUE OF THE ORIGAMI TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum A paper sheet with two dimensions can become a tridimensional object. The workshop presents different difficulties levels depending on the interested schools. 7 - MAGIC SCULPTURES TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: Paper and Watermark Museum Sculptures realization with cardboard coloured or painted by pupils themselves, cut out and sticked that become abstract forms in the space. This last ones are then gathered, connected with a cord and hung from the ceiling creating a pleasant dynamic effect. The workshop is differentiated for pupils of the elementary schools, junior secondary and senior secondary schools. On request is possible to attend a propaedeutical lesson about the meaning of Abstractionism. 8 - THE ENGRAVER'S SHOP TOWN: Castelplanio - PLACE: Civic Collection of Art, History and Culture - INFO: the workshop lasts for 2 hours, bookable during spring
In the museum guided tour we will
examine in detail the section of precious etchings and acquatints,
that were made by famous italian artists of 900. All these works of
art are now one part of the gift of Brenno Bucciarelli, a well known
Fabriano’s art editor. During the workshopwe will go over the phases
of the engraving work again, from daughtsmanship to real engraving
untill printing. 9 - BORN ADVERTISING AGENTS TOWN: Cupramontana - PLACE: International Museum of Wine’s Labels The workshop, divided in two phases, will start through a treasure hunt and after visiting the museum and analysing the characteristic aspects of the labels, during their evolution. In the first part, “Read a label”, a sealed bottle will be delivered and the boys will have to analyse all the informations which emerge from the container. An operation apparently simple and superficial will become a complex and articulate activity which will lead to the realization of a technical card. In the next phase, "Create a label", the young people, under the direction of the guide, highlighting the link between appearance and information component, will create their own personalized label. Notes: It is possible adding to the tour of the museum and to the workshop’s activity a meeting in class, where an operator, with the help of didactic instruments, will explain comunication techniques, expecially the wine product ones; the activity will last for 4 hours. The workshop will be completed with a modern wine industry’s or a Staffolo’s Wine’s Art Museum tour. 10 - FROM NOTE LEADS NOTE TOWN: Maiolati Spontini - PLACE: Gaspare Spontini Museum The young people will be involved in a game with teams which will lead them to observe the environment which surrounds them to draw the competences and knowledge necessary to passsome performances. As a prize it will be notes, clefs to access each of the seven rooms, as the number of stave’s notes, which make up the Maestro and his wife house. At the end of this musical treasure hunt, the won notes will allow to reassemble the initial symphony of the first Spontini work. 11 - WOMEN’S OBSTINACIES TOWN: Maiolati Spontini - PLACE: Gaspare Spontini Museum The workshop activity provide for not only a guided tour but also a playing and creative phase that is composed of staging of a famous music doublet "Li Puntigli Delle Donne"(“Women’s obstinacies”) which represented, during the far1796, the debut work of the Maestro. The funny and misaunderstanding comedy’s plot of the work, the presence of some genuine dresses used in the modern score execution and kept in the house’s rooms with manuscripts, images, informations extracted from archives documents and from the musician correspondence will form the necessary sources to realize an original staging of....the work. 12 - PLAYING PLAYING TOWN: Maiolati Spontini - PLACE: Gaspare Spontini Museum The didactic proposal consists of a sound’s workshop realization, of a experimentation’s space, managed by a music education specialized operator, where young people will be invited to go near sound’s world and to create short work using common instruments. The pupils will discover for instance the opportunity to create a sound with a broken water tap or with a glass or with their own bodyand they will be opportunely stimulated to invent and produce new sounds. At the end of the activity the pupils will realize a short work with music and dialogues. 13 - PLAN THE ART TOWN: Montecarotto - PLACE: Civic Museum and of Mail Art The activity begins with the tour of the museum to discover the Mail Art, that kind of art which promotes, through the postal service, the circulation of small-sized works realized by artists. The Mail Art gives the opportunity to communicate with other artists, to exchange ideas, artistic experiences and gifts. The workshop allows the class to realize, through the Collage technique and a good creativity quantity, a result in which the stamp and the envelope become matter and he forms to be changed. The result will be sent by mail to the friends of another class or their parents to share a Mail Art experience. 14 - THE ARCHAEOLOGIST’S CRAFT TOWN: Sassoferrato - PLACE: Sentinum Archaeological Park The workshop is composed of three moments: the first theorical moment will follow the tour if Sentinum excavation, where the operator, using didactic materials, will recover the history of the archaeology making sure that the pupils know the archaeologist’s tools. The practical activity will be planned splitting the guys in groups which will structure their own according to the professionalisms necessary to lead the operation to the end (director, assistant, topographer, drawer, restorer). Suitable basins of wood and Plexiglas, filled with different kinds of materials and reproductions of finds, will serve to put the learned knowledge lon the method of excavation and the identifying of the stratigraphical units in practice. Every information will be then registered and the groups of "young archaeologists" will proceed to study the material. 15 - ALL THE ROADS START FROM ROMA TOWN: Sassoferrato - PLACE: Sentinum Archaeological Park
The workshop is composed of three
moments: the first theorical moment will follow the tour of the
roman city remains, where it is possible to see some perfectly
preserved roads, in wich phase the operator will introduce in to the
ancient road network. 16 - TAILORS FOR PLEASURE TOWN: Serra de’ Conti - PLACE: Le Stanze del Tempo Sospeso - Monastic Arts Museum The workshop will introduce to the technique used by the nuns for the production of silk flowers, usefull in the processions and to adorn the churches of the town. Stimulating their manual ability, the guys will be able to realize how big was the manual ability owned by the nuns of this convent, and how important was its cultural role towards the rural community. First of all the pupils will inspect the original floral documents and compositions which will constitute the model for their creations, then they will proceed modelling the cloth previously starched. Using the nuns' original irons (representing from time to time a petal, a leaf or the whole flower) they will create original floral compositions that they will bring withtheirselves at the end of the day. The didactic way will also provide elements concerning the dyeing of the cloths with the coloured earths. 17 - YOUNG PASTRY COOK TOWN: Serra de’ Conti - PLACE: Le Stanze del Tempo Sospeso - Monastic Arts Museum The didactic activity consists in the preparation of excellent biscuits according to the nuns’ ancient recipes. After seeing the original utensils, the pupils will be able to use them to realize those cakes which the nuns were making for the whole community. Before rolling out the dough they will be introduced to the Cookery Culture of Marche’s tradition, highlighting how the monastery’s pastry products were richer than the farmers’ poor cakes. Then the duifferences between the modern cookery technique and the ancient one, that also for the confectionery production uses a big quantity of spices, will be highlighted. The pupils will compete with several forms biscuits production, choosing between the little mould at their disposal, taking the final products to the school. 18 - WE MAP RESEARCHERS TOWN: Serra San Quirico - PLACE: Marche’s Historical Collection of Maps
The playing-didactic workshop wants the
pupils’ power of observation to strengthen, opportunely stimulating
them, during the museum guided tour, to look for well-known places
on the ancient maps, identifying the stays and above all the
administrative and toponymic differences with current reality. The
pupils will learn the rifest cartographic representation technique
in the centuries and their evolution connected with the introduction
of new tools and technologies applied to cartography. 19 - BIOBUILDING AND PHYTOPURIFICATION TOWN: Cingoli - PLACE: Country House "I Mori”
In the wealth and regeneration sector,
is really famous this Country House entirely restructured with
natural materials, without cement, chemical products and
electromagnetic fields. It represents a didactic farm and a real
ecological design workshop. 20 - WORKSHOPS OF ARTISTIC TECHNIQUES TOWN: Fabriano - PLACE: InQuota courses hall 20 Mt. Away from the Museum of Paper
